Teachers and Staff

KIPP DC: KEY Academy staff members are dedicated to preparing their students for college. Teachers are in school Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. and on Fridays until 4:30 p.m., from 8:30 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. three Saturdays each month, and for one month during the summer. Teachers bridge the gap between school and community by visiting every student's home before the start of the school year and providing students with their cellular phone numbers for homework assistance or in case of an emergency.
