Grounded in the values to be kind and work hard, KIPP DC Valor Academy is a place where students are inspired to learn, ask questions, and express themselves. We build strong, independent, and curious students who advocate for themselves and their communities. We do this by providing a space that is safe, joyful, affirming, and academically-rigorous. Our students are resilient, celebrate diversity, and strive to become responsible community members. We build WARRIORS. Upon completion of eighth grade, Valor Academy students have the choice to move onto KIPP DC Legacy College Preparatory or other competitive high schools in the District.

Ketica Guter, Principal, KIPP DC Valor Academy

"I make the effort to know as much as I can get to know about my students and their individual interests outside of school. Whether it be sports, anime, or hair and make-up, I love learning from them and about what they care about."
