Faith Jones – KIPP DC College Prep ’22
Say hello to this current KIPP DC College Preparatory senior and master baker, Faith Jones! Faith’s baking journey began her sophomore year of high school. As she was finally adjusting to navigating high school and getting used to her sophomore schedule, the pandemic hit and she was thrown into virtual learning like the rest of the world. During that time, she was able to listen to a motivational speaker who spoke about the rewards and challenges of being an entrepreneur. It was the fateful phrase “It doesn’t have to be perfect, you just have to start,” that inspired Faith to launch her baking business Faithful Luxuries in the summer of 2020. Ever since then, Faith has baked and decorated traditional and vegan cakes, cupcakes, cake bars, and chocolate covered fruit for the KCP and Washington, D.C. community.
