On Tuesday, April 26th, KIPPsters celebrated national College Signing Day at KIPP DC College Preparatory!
With every prior class at KCP reaching a remarkable 100% college acceptance rate, the class of 2016 had big shoes to fill. Not only did the class of 2016 achieve 100% college acceptance, but they also earned more than $4.4 million dollars in scholarship money – more than any other class in KCP’s history! Students have been admitted to schools such as Dartmouth College, University of Pennsylvania, University of Wisconsin, Bucknell University, Emory University, George Washington University, and Virginia Tech.
We were lucky to have Dr. Kim Hunter Reed, Deputy Under Secretary at the U.S. Department of Education, attend our College Signing Day event and provide our KIPPsters with some words of wisdom. You can view photos from the event here.
We can’t wait for the class of 2016 to continue their climb to and through college with the support of our KIPP Through College and Career team!
Congratulations, KIPPsters!
