On Monday, January 15 nearly 400 volunteers pitched in to help beautify the KIPP DC Shaw Campus as part of the City Year’s Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service! City Year volunteers designed, prepped, and painted several murals throughout the campus. The murals portray prominent figures that have paved the way for KIPPsters. Take a stroll through the halls and see the likeness of Supreme Court Justice Sotomayor, Colin Kaepernick, Congresswoman Shirley Chisholm, and President Barack Obama!
We’re thankful to have the walls of Shaw Campus be re-designed to inspire the next generation of leaders.
