The Capital Teaching Residency welcomed 93 talented educators for the 2017-18 school year.
Residents kicked off the new year in July during the Capital Teaching Residency Summer Academy at KIPP DC College Preparatory. New residents received professional development, peer-to-peer feedback, and excellent training sessions by our friends at Relay Graduate School of Education! The summer professional development focused on topics regarding child development, classroom observations, race & equity, and family engagement. We’re grateful to have the Capital Teaching Residency program helping to recruit, train, and support excellent educators for KIPP DC classrooms and students across Washington D.C.
