Camp KIPP DC
Outstanding experiences for exploration, learning, and fun shouldn’t stop when the school year ends. We partnered with the organization Change Summer to create Camp KIPP DC, an immersive 2-week sleepaway camp designed specifically for KIPP DC students entering grades 4–9.
Why Camp KIPP DC?
Our students deserve summer experiences that expand their horizons, continue their growth, and help prepare them for success in college and beyond. Experiences like staying away from home, conquering new adventures, and forming new friendships help prepare our campers for their journey ahead. Camp KIPP DC is an exciting summer experience that motivates our campers to approach the future with confidence, curiosity, independence, and responsibility.
The Camper Experience
Camp KIPP DC typically offers the following program activities for campers:
- Athletics: Soccer, flag football, basketball, volleyball, kickball, gaga
- Swimming: Swim instruction, general swimming
- Adventure: Nature walks, environmental science
- Inter-Arts: Arts and crafts, dance, music, theater
- STEM: Broadcasting, photography

Our teachers and staff can help change summer for hundreds of students by joining the Camp KIPP DC team. As a Camp KIPP DC team member, you will have opportunities to lead camp programming, plan enriching activities, facilitate and participate in professional development, and enjoy spending the summer outdoors helping students explore, grow, and have fun.
